Local Flavor

We invite you to join the nearly one million fans who visit our Creamery in Tillamook, Oregon, each year. Find out how Tillamook Cheese is made and get answers to your cheesiest questions, e.g., how did they get these curds so darn squeaky? You’ll find answers to these questions and more on your self-guided factory tour, with interactive kiosks, viewing windows, videos, and lots of fun stops along the way. You’ll have a bird’s-eye view of our cheesemaking and packaging teams in action, churning out 167,000 pounds of Tillamook Cheese each and every day. And of course, the tour wouldn’t be complete without sampling some of that cheese.

Coast excursions are an hour and a half-round trip; this includes a layover in the town opposite where you board. This is a great time to disembark and explore the town, play on the beach, get an ice cream cone, or shop in the variety of boutiques.

Dinner Trains are a three-hour round-trip from Garibaldi to Wheeler with views of Tillamook Bay, the Pacific Ocean, and Nehalem Bay. The menu varies from trip to trip so check out our special trips page or the annual schedule for dates.
